Camps by KT at Houston City Hall: A Moment of Leadership

Recently, Camps by KT had the honor of opening the Women Making History event at Houston City Hall, an evening dedicated to recognizing and celebrating powerful women leaders across the city.

The room was filled with elected officials, community leaders, and changemakers; individuals actively shaping Houston. And our girls stood confidently in that space.

This was more than a performance.
It was a moment of leadership.

Opening the Program

As part of the opening of the program, our young leaders took the stage to introduce themselves and present the poem “Today” by Beah Richards.

In a room filled with powerful voices, they used theirs.

Beyond the Moment

Camps by KT is more than a summer camp; it is a leadership experience designed to build confidence, develop voice, and create opportunities for youth to lead.

The girls who stood at City Hall are a reflection of that work; growing into confident, prepared young leaders.
