Junior Camp Counselor Program 2026!
Our Junior Camp Counselor Program is an exclusive opportunity reserved for select campers entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. These exceptional young leaders have been handpicked based on their strong character, good conduct, and history of positive engagement at Camps by KT. We are excited to support these young leaders in building confidence, developing leadership skills, and contributing positively to the Camps by KT community.
Camp Location: Camps by KT Junior Camp Counselor Program is hosted at our Missouri City location (9710 HWY 6, Missouri City, TX 77459).
Camp Hours:
Regular Camp Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Early Drop-Off: 7:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Extended Day: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Ages Served:
Junior Camp Counselors: Entering 7th through entering 9th grade
Junior Camp Counselor Tuition & Program Details
Camp tuition begins at $295 per camp week.
Eligibility & Readiness: The Junior Camp Counselors Program is designed based on age, behavior, and readiness to take on additional responsibility.
Potential Opportunity to Join the Junior Advisory Board: Junior Camp Counselors will have the potential opportunity to accept a spot on our exclusive Junior Advisory Board.
Role & Responsibilities: While still participating as campers, Junior Camp Counselors will assist staff with simple tasks, act as role models for younger campers, and contribute to camp planning.
Expectations: Junior Camp Counselors are expected to uphold camp values of respect, kindness, and excellence. They must maintain good conduct at all times and set a positive example for others.
Off-Site Learning Experiences: Junior Camp Counselors participate in enhanced off-site learning experiences. Most weeks include multiple off-site excursions, with at least one experience reserved exclusively for Junior Camp Counselors. These off-site experiences may include visits to professional environments, community organizations, educational spaces, or service-focused locations. Specific locations and schedules are shared as plans are finalized.
Growth & Recognition: Junior Camp Counselors gain leadership experience, confidence, and real-world exposure. Participants may also be considered for future leadership roles or recognition within Camps by KT programming.
Throughout each weekly theme, Junior Camp Counselors will consistently practice leadership through mentorship, teamwork, and reflective activities; allowing them to explore each experience while building confidence and responsibility.

Medical Science Week invites campers to explore the human body, health, and wellness through curiosity-driven activities and interactive experiences. Campers will engage in discussions and projects that introduce medical concepts in an age-appropriate, engaging way while encouraging confidence and self-awareness.

Junior Camp Counselors take part in age-appropriate off-site and small-group experiences, many designed exclusively for this program.
A Balanced Approach: Work & Play
Junior Camp Counselors take on leadership roles while still enjoying camp as campers. They participate in activities, games, and breaks… balancing responsibility with fun.
The program also includes dedicated small-group time, leadership activities, and select off-site experiences designed specifically for this age group. These moments allow for independence and growth while keeping the experience enjoyable.
Junior Camp Counselors have flexibility throughout the week; if there’s an activity they’re excited about, they may join in as a camper rather than in a leadership role.
