Junior Camp Counselors will take part in leadership opportunities throughout the camp week by supporting activities, assisting younger campers, working alongside our camp team, and continuing to build confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills. Fall Break Camp Tuition

Our Junior Camp Counselor Program is designed for middle schoolers who are ready to grow as leaders. Our full Junior Camp Counselor experience takes place each summer, with additional leadership opportunities offered throughout the year during select seasonal camps, school breaks, and special experiences.

Through hands-on involvement at Camps by KT, Junior Camp Counselors build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, practice responsibility, and positively contribute to the camp community while supporting younger campers and our camp team.

Camp Location: Camps by KT Junior Camp Counselor Program - Fall Break Kickoff and Camp is hosted at our Stafford location; 11325 Fountain Lake Dr. Stafford, TX 77477. Program locations vary throughout the year..

Camp Hours:

Regular Camp Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Extended Day: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Fall Break Kickoff — October 9
A special one-day experience created just for our middle schoolers! Junior Camp Counselors will enjoy a private movie outing to see Forgotten Island, create two fall-inspired keepsake projects, and hear from a special guest speaker who will encourage growth, spark ambition, and inspire confidence. It’s a day designed for creativity, connection, and leadership — all while having fun with peers.

Fall Break Camp

Fall Break Camp — October 12–16
During Fall Break Camp, Junior Camp Counselors will step into a more hands-on leadership role as they support younger campers, assist with activities, work alongside the Camps by KT team, and participate in select experiences of their own. Throughout the week, they’ll continue building confidence, responsibility, communication skills, and real-world leadership experience in a fun and supportive camp environment.

Junior Camp Counselors Program

Lead & Support Camp Activities
Junior Camp Counselors assist with games, projects, and daily activities while supporting younger campers under staff guidance.
Develop Leadership & Life Skills
Participants build confidence, communication, teamwork, and public speaking skills through hands-on leadership opportunities.
Participate in Elevated Experiences
Junior Camp Counselors take part in age-appropriate off-site and small-group experiences, many designed exclusively for this program.

A Balanced Approach: Work & Play

Junior Camp Counselors take on leadership roles while still enjoying camp as campers. They participate in activities, games, and breaks… balancing responsibility with fun.

The program also includes dedicated small-group time, leadership activities, and select off-site experiences designed specifically for this age group. These moments allow for independence and growth while keeping the experience enjoyable.

Junior Camp Counselors have flexibility throughout the week; if there’s an activity they’re excited about, they may join in as a camper rather than in a leadership role.

Junior Camp Counselor Summer Tuition & Program Details

Camp tuition begins at $295 per camp week.

Eligibility & Readiness: The Junior Camp Counselors Program is designed based on age, behavior, and readiness to take on additional responsibility.

Potential Opportunity to Join the Junior Advisory Board: Junior Camp Counselors will have the potential opportunity to accept a spot on our exclusive Junior Advisory Board.

Role & Responsibilities: While still participating as campers, Junior Camp Counselors will assist staff with simple tasks, act as role models for younger campers, and contribute to camp planning.

Expectations: Junior Camp Counselors are expected to uphold camp values of respect, kindness, and excellence. They must maintain good conduct at all times and set a positive example for others.

Growth & Recognition: Junior Camp Counselors gain leadership experience, confidence, and real-world exposure. Participants may also be considered for future leadership roles or recognition within Camps by KT programming.
